I Want to Live in a World Where…
I want to live in a world where women don’t have to be brave for justice to be enacted.
I want to live in a world where no one doubts a woman’s right to choose her own well-being,
to cast her own vote without question,
to speak her own truth.
I want to live in a world where our daughters can walk any street without fear.
I want to live in a world where our mothers are honored for their wisdom, their leadership, their joy.
I want to live in a world where a woman’s worth is not measured by her clothing or her size.
I want to live in a world where beauty is not a weapon, and bodies are not battlegrounds.
I want to live in a world where the gifts of women in pulpits, politics, and poetry are celebrated.
Where truth is not dismissed because it comes from a woman’s voice.
Where the dignity of every one is defended without debate.
I want to live in a world where every story is honored as part of God’s own story.
I want to live in a world where power is not hoarded, but shared.
Where systems do not demand exhaustion, and no one has to choose between safety and integrity.
Where every body can stand tall in dignity, free from exploitation, violence, or scorn.
I want to live in a world where the Spirit is poured out on all flesh,
where sons and daughters prophesy without apology,
where old and young dream dreams together.
(Acts 2:17, Joel 2:28)
Until then, let us keep speaking, dreaming, and building the world we long for.
Let us walk together toward that world,
undaunted and unafraid.
All things are being made new.
And may our courage be kind,
our justice be joyful,
and our love be fierce,
as we live toward the world God intended.
