We were not made for this….
Breathe deep.
We were not made for this.
We were not made for constant alerts,
Or the 24/7 news cycle,
We weren’t designed to confront a thousand crises before breakfast.
Or to shoulder the pressure of being reachable, responsive, productive, and informed about everything all the time.
The soul was not made to sprint.
We were made for something slower:
For laughter that lingers around the dinner table.
For meals without interruption - buzzes, dings, and breaking news.
For long card games that stretch into the night.
For singing off-key by a fire.
For bedtime stories and actual bedtimes.
For silence.
For stillness.
For being fully, humanly here.
So we breathe deep.
By stepping away when we can.
Not to ignore the world,
but to remember what kind of world we’re trying to build.
And we love wide.
By choosing presence.
By choosing slowness.
By choosing joy.
Because we were not made for burnout.
We were made for life -
abundant, grounded, and shared.
